He aha tenei? - what is this?

I am learning to find the kupu for insects. In class we learnt about insects in New

Zealand and  Māori  kupu , we read the book He aha tēnei wich means what is

this?

My favourite word is pūngawerewere it means Spider, it is a really long word .

My second favourite word is rō wich means praying mantis.

For what reason was Te Reo Māori invented?
